Quix Unar - New HDRi Test 1 by erikg1337 Quix Unar - New HDRi Test 1 by erikg1337
I recently purchased a ton of new HDRis - here is a random test render I did (no post-work) with the older Quix textures.

G2F custom morph (hundreds of hours in it... some zbrush as well).

Very natural eyes, but I feel the nose is too shiny.

She looks gorgeous as always.  I've let this sit in my inbox for days now.  Something has been bugging me, so I called my daughter in to ask her "Is she real or rendered?"
She answers rendered.
I ask her "How can you tell?"
She says, "Her skin is to shiny, it's reflecting to much light.  My skin doesn't do that, so she can't be real."

There you have it, from the mouth of a 9 year old ;)

Looks great, especially the eyes, and I like the subtle smile. My personal preference would be to have more detail in the skin, but that is just me... :)

Almost convincing... lose the high light shine on her lip with post and then you got a really cool image.
Oh.. and yeah... skin is very waxy looking.

Thanks so much for the comment RGUS! I'm a huge fan of your work!

The skin is Redspec SSS, but I've been working on some tweaks.

Hi there eric, if you feel the glossiness is too much you can either increase the roughness of the specular part under Material 1

RED, I was hardly throwing you under the bus there old friend... it can be a bit glossy but I attribute a good part of my render's popularity to your shaders ;) - they are fantastic.

:D I get it that some people get the smooth glossy effect under certain light conditions, on my renders I always play with the specular roughness the specular bump strength and by increasing the diffuse bump strength just a little some times, gives the skin that little extra detail by casting slight shadows on the pores and wrinkles. Sometimes the specular gamma strength and the opacity settings all give different results. As soon as you know what effect each of these have on the skin you quickly know where to tweak what, also playing with the saturate to white setting by picking the skin colour on your figure and then adjusting it to be lighter or darker helps with the skin textures sometimes coming out yellowish or even when you change the diffuse power colour from white to a light beige brown for a tan effect and adjusting the diffuse gamma, you can add a lot to the overall image and style that you like. Hope this makes sense :D
